Was busy with travelling and work. That's why.

Last night, was watching a video from a YouTube uploader: https://youtu.be/CZdyUX_zkUs and after viewing the whole 10 mins video, I feel the need to show you in Picture.

Picture shows how amazing Ningxia Red does to a consumer.

From a stacked cells, clustered environment, to a Regular shaped wide surface area structure.

RBC functions to transport oxygen from one cell to the other to the whole body system. Usually, from what we learn from school, images show us that RBC are arranged neatly side by side to each other, layer after layer.

It feels good to know how my body reacts to what I choose to consume in a daily basis.

Fact 4: Ningxia Red - Preservative

Q: Is there preservative present in Ningxia Red?
A: Yes, there is. It is called Sodium Benzoate.

What is Sodium Benzoate?
It is a natural occurring preservative present in fruits such as apples, prunes, cranberry etc.

Why does the Ningxia Red has Sodium Benzoate?
If it is not preserved, Ningxia Red will not taste like how it is now. It will taste like wine/ alcohol. 

What is the amount of Sodium Benzoate used in Ningxia Red?
0.00025%

How is this compared to fruit juices ?
Look for any fruit juice label that you can get in the supermarket.
Find sodium weightage, and then find out the percentage per serving size.
I've calculated one famous brand at 0.022%.

Do it.

Sodium Benzoate transforms to Benzene which is a cancerous feature - carcinogen.
True. But it only transform if 4 conditions are present.
1) heat
2) low antioxidant environment
3) Vitamin C
4) Carbonic Acid

Fact 3: Ningxia Red - Food Equivalence

Q: What is the Ningxia Red equivalent to?
A: Consuming 28.3 ml a day, is equivalent to having these, all at the same time :-
1) 73 strawberries
2) 130 tomatoes
3) 34 large onions
4) 814 blueberries
5) 22 carrots
6) 4.9kg spinach
7) 100 oranges
8) 25.55kg almonds
9) 59 broccoli florets
10) 93 apples

Step by Step For New Members

This post is for potential users of Young Living products, who are researching on Young Living as a whole.

I too, was no different than the rest. 

Before, I haven't heard of Young Living by both company or even the products. 

Upon introduction by a good friend of mine, I started looking up online about Young Living. --> Google 😊

After weeks of reading online, I then decided to try the company and signed up under Essential Rewards programme. 

Some advice for you before you get started.  

Phase 1 

1) Visit the Young Living website.

2) Feel out the website, the drop-down selections that they have.

3) Read about the company. 

4) Check out the founder 

5) Source Google for reviews. 

6) You'll know what current issues you're currently having, and that you'd want to target. Check the related product to that may be able to address the issues.  

7) Research the products. Research the reviews. 

8) As you're more comfortable and are decided, let's go for Phase 2.

How I lose the KGs?

For years I have been on a 70-80 kg girl. Now I am a 65-66 kg range girl after 3 months consistently on Young Living Essential Oils.

When I chanced upon Young Living Essential Oils for weight loss, I took the chance to try the Oils out.

It was working for me. And this is where I'd like to share with you. My 3 most taken oils so far in the Young Living journey.

I started Slique Essence in mid July 2016, Lemon in end Feb 2016, Grapefruit in end March 2016.

Since then, I've constantly on this regime:
Morning: Lemon + Grapefruit + Slique Essence (1 capsule each, total 3 capsules)
Night: Lemon + Grapefruit (1 Capsule each, total 2 capsules)

This regime continued for about 1 and half months, then I slowed down on Grapefruit.

Everyday, I will be taking Lemon + Slique Essence for about 1 month, twice a day.

I see changes in body size, weight reduction, and facial skin improvement.

Am I Continuing this regime? Of course I am.

Finding products that suit you

Was recently speaking to people about the Young Living brand, and we were talking about the ART Gentle Cleanser specifically, as my facial skin condition improved for the better after using the Cleanser twice a day.  

This was the feedback I received, willingness to try but was hindered as there are current items still on hand.

It's a pretty common expression, as we all have our usual counter products we've used all our lives.  It takes a while to switch from old to new.  

Nevertheless, the-not-wanting to waste is another attribute to applaud.

I've never been this light before since secondary school.

I'm happy, and will be happier soon.

I've got heavy genes.

Is Young Living the best product ever?

In other words: Am I saying that Young Living is superior than other products out there ?

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

People have cultures and traditional methods that they've been taught on from generation to generation.

I'm not saying that using Young Living guarantees longevity or immortality.

I'm saying - Find out if Young Living suits your lifestyle and to adopt Young Living into your daily use if it truly works for u. It's a choice. 

If it doesn't, then it's just moving on with your usual products.

Acne and Pimples

Acne, the pimply surface that we don't like.

The Star on Goji Berries - Ningxia

I can't help but to think about Ningxia Red, which I have been exposed to it earlier on, but was hesitant to include in my daily lifestyle.

Reasons being:
#1: the price point - Ningxia Red does not come cheap and intake of dosage everyday however minimal, the bottle doesn't last you more than 2 weeks tops.
#2: Self-procrastination: I can hold this on for later, as I am still young. How wrong was I when I stumbled upon Benefit #5.

Upon reading the article further, I then realised that Goji is actually known as Gei Zi in Cantonese. A term I am more familiar with since young.

Drinking Ningxia Red Every Day

I'd like to track myself on the potential changes there is by drinking Ningxia Red every morning.

The quantity I drink will be 2 fingers wide from the base of the cup. Recommended drinking is 4onz actually.

But, since the cost of Ningxia Red is high, I'll use my own dosage for now.  It should still change, probably at a slower rate.

Let's see how it changes me.

How many drops are there in a bottle?

I've been wondering about this question too recently.

And found this:

For Young Living bottles, number of drops may vary with each oil's viscosity.

In general:

1. 15ml bottle: 300 drops
2. 5ml bottle  : 100 drops

Question is: How many drops to you use in a day? For each bottle?

I use on average 10 drops a day on the high side.  So I should expect to finish couple of my oils in a month, right?

Hair Care

I've been searching the net for Essential Oils to care for hair issues: Hair Fall, Hair Thinning, Grey Hair Growth, Dull Hair.

These are my current problems, and needed to be fixed before it gets more serious.
At my age, I'm not really ready for these....

So, getting information online is both easy and tough.  Easy as there's a lot of information, but that's also the problem...  It's hard to choose which one to follow through.  

For me, as long as I use what I have with me and care for my hair at my convenience, with my way.

These are the oils I currently have to be used which are able to promote hair growth:

1. Rosemary
2. Cedar Wood
3. Lavender
4. Ylang Ylang
5. Peppermint

To address grey hair issue, I'm going to use:

1. Rosemary

As for Dull Hair, I'm going to use:

1. Lavender
2. Tea tree (Melaleuca)
3. Lemon

I'll be mixing them up in a 1ml bottle and massage into scalp after shower.


Let's see if my hair improves as I wanted it to.

I didn't.

Soooo...   I diffused lemon last night to sleep.

It wasn't a good idea.  Couldn't sleep at night immediately as I would normally can.
Tossed and turned on bed for a couple of hours.

Cheerful, sweet and nostalgic  -- that's the description of Lemon Essential Oil from Young Living website.

So, it's supposed to ENERGIZE you, not to serenade you to sleep!

After last night, I have to remind myself not to diffuse Lemon at night...
I'll need to experiment Lemon on other applications.

Petrochemicals

Stumbled upon this term when was browsing possible dangers if mixing Essential Oils with off-the-shelves products used in our daily lives.

As a beginner in Essential Oils user, I have to use the Essential Oils with caution, as there is a possibility of a Chemical reaction/ Chemical burn happen to affected areas - and that's not pretty.

With limited knowledge for several days, I have been using Essential Oil first, then wait for a few minutes for the Oils to be totally absorbed into skin, then continue with usual daily products, for example facial moisturizer and body lotions.
So far, by starting slow, no chemical reactions are experienced on skin.

However, in terms of applying few drops of Essential Oils to reach to more areas, Can I mix Essential Oils and daily products together?  I wasn't sure about this, and searching sites online does not seem to have a topic on this.

Referring to an European Site: Petrochemicals Europe, a webpage was designed to list the raw materials used and the derivation of the products into our daily products.  Read on and see what's similar in your daily products.

1. Benzene derives to Alkybenzene, Cyclohexane, Cumene, Ethylbenzene.
2. C4 Steam derives to Isobutylene, n-Butene, Butadiene.
3. Ethylene derives to Polyethylenes, Ethyl benzene, Ethylene Dichloride, Ethylene Oxide, Ethyl alcohol, Acetaldehyde.
4. Methane derives to Methanol.
5. Propylene derives to Polypropylene, Acrylic acid, Acrylonitrile, Cumene, Propylene Oxide, Butyraldehyde, Isopropanol.
6. Toluene derives to Toluene disocyanate, Solvents.
7. Xylenes derives to Orthoxylene, Paraxylene.

I'm no chemist, and there's a hell lot of names there!

The first thing I wanted to cross-check was my daily skincare moisturizer; Clinique Damatically Different Moisturizing Gel. 

Been using this skincare brand since year 2001 - I'm pretty loyal...  Yes.

These are the ingredients that makes the moisturizer really good to be used.

In writing:  Water/Aqua/Eau, Dimethicone, Isododecane, Butylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Glycerin, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract/Extrait D’Orge, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Caffeine, Triethelose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sucrose, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria), Polysilicone-11, Silica, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Oleth-10, Lactobacillus Ferment, Laureth-23, Laureth-4, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Tromethamine, Disdoium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Yellow 5, Red 4, Yellow 6

Note that there are several chemical ingredients in there that makes up this moisturizer. Did they freak me out?... Well, I still use them on a daily basis, TWICE even!

Since Clinique has marketed this product for decades, and the product is approved by FDA, it is here to stay.

So what am I to do with this information?

I'm feeling of diffusing Lemon tonight.

So, I've got some items at a Wholesale Member Price, and I am loving it!

How did I got involved with Young Living?

I was first introduced to Young Living Essential Oils through Peppermint and Lemon Oils.
My colleague started talking about these, and let me smell them.  She even dropped few drops of Oils into my drink. That was few weeks back.

Then, come February 2016, there was a Promotion by Young Living, on tiering of PVs and the items you can get from purchasing items upto those PVs.



She was insistent that I signed up as a Member, and purchase some items equivalent of 420PV, as you can see from the picture, it is a tempting offer.

I decided to give it a try, and started choosing items to accumulate PVs.
Slowly, I browsed the website and looked for items that I would use on a daily basis.
After some considerations, a list was finalized.

Payment was made, and there was no turning back.
Amount spend: MYR 1,921.99
And I'm about to receive the 420 PV Reward Items in return.
Was that a good deal?
I choose to believe that it is.
